Mediation Services

Parenting plans

When parents separate, one of the most important decisions they face is how they will continue to raise their children. Mediation provides a safe, respectful space to discuss parenting arrangements with a focus on your children's wellbeing. Together, we can explore practical issues such as time with each parent, holidays, finances and communication.

Mediation will be future-focused, with your children's wellbeing at the heart of the process, recognising that arrangements which support your children will benefit the whole family. A well-prepared Parenting Plan can provide clarity and reassurance for both parents and children, helping to reduce misunderstandings and future conflict. Although children's needs may change over time, having a clear agreement in place can provide a strong foundation for positive co-parenting in the years ahead.

Property and financial

Reaching agreement about finances and property can often be one of the most difficult aspects of separation. Through mediation, I help couples discuss financial matters openly and respectfully, with the aim of reaching practical agreements that both people consider fair. Discussions may include the family home, mortgages, savings, pensions, debts and other shared assets. Mediation will help reduce the emotional and financial costs associated with contested court proceedings. You are also free to bring any mediated settlement to your solicitor for independent legal advice and, where appropriate, to have it formalised as a legally binding agreement.

Family mediation

Mediation is shown to be a highly effective form of dispute resolution in family matters. Families can become strained for many reasons: separation, caring responsibilities, communication breakdown, inheritance issues or long‑running disagreements. Mediation offers a safe, facilitated conversation where everyone involved has the chance to speak, listen and be heard. Together, we clarify how each person's needs can be met, look at where things have got stuck, and work towards understandings and agreements.

My role is to remain impartial, keep the discussion respectful and help you move away from blame towards constructive problem-solving and practical ways forward.

Community mediation

Community disputes often arise between neighbours, local groups, or residents and services, and can quickly affect day‑to‑day quality of life. Community mediation provides a neutral, informal setting where people can talk directly, explain how the situation is affecting them, and explore practical ways forward.

Issues might include noise, boundaries, shared spaces, communication problems or misunderstandings. I will provide a supportive environment in which each person has an opportunity to speak openly, promote respectful dialogue, and assist you in finding agreements that reduce tension and allow everyone to get on with their lives.

Community mediation can take place online or at an agreed location in your area.
